About the PB&J Campaign
In addition to its child advocacy work, North Carolina Guardian ad Litem (GAL) hosts the Peanut Butter & Jelly Campaign, an annual statewide service project. Last year, GAL districts across North Carolina collected 8,723 jars of peanut butter and jelly for food pantries all over the state. Now in its second year, the PB&J campaign is aiming to donate 10,000 jars!
The PB&J campaign runs from mid-October to January, coinciding with Make a Difference Day, Giving Tuesday, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and the MLK Day of Service. Any interested community member can participate in this service project, including local businesses, places of worship, schools--as well as those already involved with GAL, including staff, volunteers, and friends and supporters of the program.
